Here is my policy. You mail your readout however you wish to the address provided. Upon receipt I will inspect the readout usually the same day or the next day. After inspection I will send you a more formal quote based on my observations. If the quote is too high or you have changed your mind I will return the readout back to you via UPS for a flat fee of $30, which covers the inspection and shipping, paid via PayPal, Check, or Cash. If you decide to proceed with the repair I will begin and usually be complete within a 2 week period. Once complete I will send the final bill to you and you can pay with PayPal, Check, or Cash. Once payment is received I will ship the unit via insured UPS. I will travel up to 50 miles from Kinsman, OH for pickups and deliveries. Please review the Terms & Conditions page for further information.
Typical repair costs *NOTE* These are just provided as a reference, your cost may vary.
I charge based on how much time the physical repair takes, troubleshooting time, travel time or shipping cost, and replacement parts cost.
When it comes to CNC machinery I have experience with most control manufacturers. Typical failures involve spindle drives, axis drives, power supplies, motors, sensors, and power management components. While I am familiar with most manufacturers, I have no specialized training or access to schematics, parts diagrams, etc. My specialty is component level repair. Each case will have to be discussed independently.
For other miscellaneous industrial equipment please contact me with the details of your problem. I have experience working on anything from specialized hand tools to fully automated production lines.
I offer design advice and prototyping services for manufacturing clients. Contact me about your specific project and we can discuss the details.
